About this expedition
Floodplain grassland, wetland and woodland give this Assam landscape its character. The Ken cuts through the Vindhyan landscape, opening views from dry forest to riverbank. Panna’s tiger reintroduction is an important chapter in the recovery of this population.
An extended journey across the Andamans, Kolkata, Kaziranga, Manas, Delhi, Sattal, Bharatpur, Panna and Gujarat.

What to expect from this tour
Kaziranga
Scan for greater one-horned rhinos and wetland birds. Tall grass can hide much of an animal; a single horn or ear can carry a frame.
In your viewfinder. Try a low horizon and include the grass rather than trying to photograph through every stem.
Panna
Scan clearings for chital and sambar, then turn to birds along the water. A tiger may appear briefly between cover and the track; the river and its reflections can carry a sequence even on a quiet drive.
In your viewfinder. Expose for the brightest reflection first, then wait for a bird or deer to break the pattern.
Wildlife moves freely. Your guide follows local access rules and the conditions on the day.
